Me, elsewhere
Some other websites where you can find me
- alexandrebuisse.org:
My "static" website, with portfolios and fresh news.
- RedBubble:
Some of my images are available as prints over there.
- itu.dk: Not
photography related, but the "professional" website for my
research activity.
Photo communities
Some communities I'm part of
- 1x.com/onexposure.net:
The main collaborative website I participate in these days.
The quality there is just incredible, and the community very
friendly. I'm a silver member there, meaning that they
really like me ;-)
- Frozen
Flower: A constant stream of photoblogs, they are very
selective about who is included so I'm quite proud to be
in!
- Weeklyshot: A
cooperative photoblog, running a weekly themed contest. In
January 2008, its creator Brandon Stone decided to stop it.
RIP.
- VFXY Photo: A
constant stream of photoblogs.
- NatureScapes: a
forum oriented towards nature photography. Many birds
lovers, but also a great landscape section.
Others
Photographers I like and admire
- XoverIP:
Vernon Trent, a truly amazing photographer.
- Photo-Sage:
home of Tracy Martin, life photography at its best.
- Moments of
humanity: Mark Kitaoka's home, the most beautiful
portraits you'll probably ever see.
- Envers:
don't go there if you're already feeling depressed...
- Paul Souders:
Great travel photography. I want to be this guy when I
grow up.
- Gimme
more photos: another French expat in Gothenburg
(now in Turkey) and a
personal friend.
Technical
Because I'll always be a geek
- Lightroom:
The best workflow/raw software out there. It changed the
way I take pictures.
- The
Online Photographer: Some reviews and very interesting
opinions about photography, by Mike Johnston.
- The
Luminous Landscape: another technical website, mainly
focused on fine art and landscape. Great resources.
- Thom Hogan: Nikon
news and reviews, and technical opinions. Highly
recommended.
- KenRockwell.com:
Gear reviews and general advices on photography. Some
rather extreme views with which I quite disagree, but it
makes for very interesting reads.
- Strobist: All
you ever wanted to know about flash and professional
lighting.
Misc
Stuff that fits nowhere else
- PixelPost: The
engine behind Aperture First. PHP/MySQL, simple, flexible
and powerful.
- effraie: My
(great) host. Thanks a lot to him!
- Occasion
Paris: if you are wondering where to find photo shops
in Paris, here's a complete survey. Extremely useful (if
you are in Paris, that is).
